Race Results: Martinsville Speedway

Kyle Larson, who started first in the 500-lap race at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday, led the first 55 laps before being passed by Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott. After fast work by the No. 5 HendrickCars.com pit crew during a lap-60 caution, Larson won the race off pit road and again paced the field to the restart. But he was passed by Elliott on lap 85 and trailed his teammate across the finish line when stage one ended at lap 130.

Students, teachers and staff from McKinney High School attended a virtual celebration to accept a $10,000 donation to support the school’s STEM education initiatives.

Victory Monday: Race Results from Texas Motor Speedway

Kyle Larson will be one of four drivers racing for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series championship at Phoenix Raceway on November 7. The driver of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE, who started first at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, led 256 of the 334 laps – including the final 218 – en route to his eighth win of the season. Larson finished third in stage one and first in stage two. Two races remain in the Round of 8, but Larson is guaranteed a spot in the Championship 4 based on his victory in Texas.

Race Results: Kyle Larson and the No. 5 Team Find Victory on the ROVAL

Sunday on the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, Kyle Larson won his seventh points-paying race of the 2021 season. The driver of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE, who started 10th, led the final eight laps to capture his third road course win of 2021. The No. 5 team overcame an alternator belt issue to win and advance to the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8. Larson is first in the playoff point standings, 42 points ahead of the cutoff position.
