Record-breaking meal drive helps fight hunger this holiday season
Records are meant to be broken -- especially when it comes to serving those in need. On this “Giving Tuesday,” we’re recognizing the servant hearts of our teammates who donate both their money and time towards our bi-annual Hendrick Hunger Hero’s fundraising drive.

July 12 was a significant milestone for Hendrick Automotive Group’s ongoing commitment towards fighting against hunger. In the largest single-day meal-packing effort in company history, more than 350 volunteers visited local food bank partners in Atlanta, Kansas City, Pleasanton (Calif.), Charleston (South Carolina), Raleigh and Charlotte honored Rick Hendrick’s birthday by simultaneously participating in the inaugural “Day of Service.”

As part of the organization’s Hendrick Hunger Heroes initiative, teammates in Raleigh, North Carolina, including Reggie Jackson Airport Honda, Hendrick Chevrolet Cary and Porsche Southpoint, came together at Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, which is the largest and oldest food bank in the state who serves 34 counties in the Triangle area, to help pack meals for those facing hunger in their local community.
