Kyle Larson, who qualified eighth, battled a “super loose on entry” condition in his No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 early in Saturday night’s 400-lap event at Martinsville Speedway. He raced as high as seventh before a late-race penalty dropped the reigning champion mid pack and took the checkered flag 19th.

Although he was able to cut a 10-second deficit to the leader down to less than four seconds in the closing laps, he was unable to reel in the eventual race winner before securing his third top-five finish of the season.
There was a tremendous showing of power for Greg Anderson and his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet at this weekend's NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, and although the power was not enough to propel him to a win on Sunday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the reigning NHRA Pro Stock world champion put himself in position for a shot at a victory after securing the No. 2 position during the weekend's qualifying sessions.
