Kyle Larson will be one of four drivers racing for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series championship at Phoenix Raceway on November 7. The driver of the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE, who started first at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, led 256 of the 334 laps – including the final 218 – en route to his eighth win of the season. Larson finished third in stage one and first in stage two. Two races remain in the Round of 8, but Larson is guaranteed a spot in the Championship 4 based on his victory in Texas.

The No. 5 team overcame an alternator belt issue to win and advance to the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8. Larson is first in the playoff point standings, 42 points ahead of the cutoff position.

Anderson became the most winning driver in the history of the class with a final-round defeat of Texan Chris McGaha, securing the 98th trophy of a career that began in Columbus in 1998.
