A solid qualifying effort, a fast No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet and speedy pit stops in Sunday's 400 miler at Kansas Speedway put Kyle Larson in the lead with 32 laps to go; however the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion was passed by eventual race winner Kurt Busch with eight laps remaining, securing a runner-up finish and his sixth top-five finish of the season.
