Hendrick Automotive Group was recently recognized for our commitment to putting people first, earning a spot in the 2025-2026 U.S. News Best Companies to Work For ratings while achieving the highest mark among all North Carolina companies evaluated.
This national recognition highlights companies known for their positive workplace culture and competitive benefits, making them stand out as top places to build a career. The ratings also serve as a resource for current and prospective employees to make decisions about workplaces that may be a good fit for them.
U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in rankings and consumer advice, is well-known for its annual assessments of colleges and universities, hospitals, and other organizations across various industries. In 2023, the publication introduced the Best Companies to Work For ratings. Initially focused on the nation’s largest publicly traded companies, 2025-2026 marked the first time privately held companies were included in the ratings.
To be eligible, private companies must have more than 5,000 employees and generate over $500 million in annual revenue. The rankings were then determined using a data-driven methodology based on six key metrics.
- Quality of pay and benefits
- Work-life balance and flexibility
- Job and company stability
- Physical and psychological comfort
- Belongingness and esteem
- Career opportunities and professional development
