The upcoming model wave demonstrates that the auto industry is pushing forward with fresh designs, upgrades, and innovations that provide customers with an array of exciting new options.
Here are some of the most noteworthy updates arriving with the 2026 model year, so you can know what’s on the horizon and decide if they’re worth the wait. We think they are, and we’re confident you’ll agree.
Return of the Jeep Cherokee
After being discontinued in 2023, the Jeep Cherokee makes its return in 2026. Positioned between the compact Compass and larger Grand Cherokee, this midsize SUV fills a gap that customers have sought during its absence.

The 2026 Cherokee is more than a refresh of the 2023 model. It’s been completely redesigned with a new perspective on comfort and capability. Perhaps the most notable change is its increased size. While it remains a two-row SUV, max cargo space jumps to 68.3 cubic feet, a near 25% increase from 2023. Overall interior room has grown as well, creating a more spacious ride for both front and rear passengers.
The 2026 Cherokee also marks the introduction of Jeep’s first traditional hybrid. A 1.6L gas engine joins two electric motors and a regenerative braking system to deliver 37 combined mpg and 500 miles of range, all while retaining Jeep’s signature capabilities with 210 max horsepower and a standard fully automatic 4x4 system.

The Cherokee’s design stays true to its Jeep roots, showcasing the recognizable seven-slot grille and boxy frame. Meanwhile, the interior features several modern technology upgrades, including a 12.3-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver display, and dual-pane automatic sunroof.
Returning with more space and efficient performance than ever before, the 2026 Jeep Cherokee is set to impress all over again.
Ram 1500 Roars Again
Truck enthusiasts appreciate the Ram 1500 for its broad and versatile lineup. Whether you’re seeking a luxurious daily driver, a powerful work machine, or an off-road beast, there’s a truck for every purpose and lifestyle. Ram is continuing the momentum in 2026 with several exciting additions to the 1500 lineup.
Ram heard their customers’ feedback loud and clear, and the notorious 5.7L HEMI V8 engine is back after a one-year hiatus. With 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, the familiar roar and rumble of the HEMI joins the trusty base V6 and a duo of turbocharged Hurricane engine options to capture the next-level raw power that so many drivers crave.

The exciting news continues with the debut of the Ram 1500 Express, a new value-focused trim that fills the void left by the discontinuation of the 1500 Classic in 2024. Don’t let its affordability fool you; the 1500 Express boasts an eye-catching design and modern amenities inside and out. This is especially true in the Black Express Package, with 20-inch black wheels, all-black accents, a sport performance hood, and other striking design choices that create an aggressive look at a fair price.

With the return of a fan-favorite engine, the addition of an appealing new trim level, and various improvements throughout, 2026 just might be the most powerful, versatile, and advanced Ram 1500 lineup ever created.
New Era for Toyota RAV4
The Toyota RAV4 may be America’s best-selling SUV, but Toyota isn’t staying complacent. The new sixth-generation 2026 RAV4 raises the bar with a bold redesign, advanced hybrid powertrains, and fresh new options for automotive thrill seekers.
For the first time, the RAV4 lineup is exclusively hybrid, available as either a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Both models offer increased efficiency and power. The HEV RAV4 now delivers 236 max horsepower, a 17-hp gain over the 2025 version, while the PHEV steps up to 320 horsepower alongside an estimated 50-mile all-electric driving range.
Toyota is now offering drivers more options to choose a RAV4 that suits their lifestyle, thanks to the addition of two new model grades: RAV4 Woodland and RAV4 GR Sport. The RAV4 Woodland answers your call to adventure with an outdoor-inspired design featuring a raised front end, roof rails and cross bars, LED lighting, and all-terrain tires.

With the RAV4 GR Sport, focus shifts from the trails to the pavement. Built with input from Toyota’s Gazoo Racing division, the GR Sport features sport-tuned suspension and power steering systems, front and rear wing-type spoilers, a two-tone paint scheme, and other sporty elements that create an exhilarating behind-the-wheel experience.

Every member of the 2026 RAV4 lineup also benefits from Toyota’s latest safety and entertainment technology, as they’re the first to receive the improved Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 System along with the new Toyota Audio Multimedia System. Long story short, Toyota’s total-package SUV just got even better.
Honda Prelude Enters the Future
The Honda Prelude was discontinued in 2001 due to a shift in market demand, but after two-plus decades on the shelf, this two-door coupe is back. Recently unveiled, the 2026 Prelude embraces its past while incorporating major modern flair.

First and foremost, the new Prelude is a 200-horsepower hybrid utilizing the same two-motor hybrid-electric system found in the award-winning Honda Civic Hybrid. Set up with the same high-performance chassis as the sport-focused Civic Type R, along with an exclusively tuned suspension and brake system, a lively driving experience is guaranteed.
A major difference in the 2026 Prelude is the absence of a manual transmission option. However, it comes equipped with the new Honda S+ Shift System, which includes paddle shifters and automatic rev matching that emulate the engaging shifting simulation of a geared transmission system.
Take a seat in the Prelude and enjoy an immersive cockpit experience. The interior is available in vibrant blue, black, and white color combinations, complemented by heated front seats with contrast blue stitching. Although a coupe, the Prelude’s cargo space is surprisingly generous thanks to its liftable back hatch and foldable rear seat backs.

Technology and entertainment also take center stage. A 9-inch HD touchscreen comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google Built-In. Music lovers will appreciate the Bose Centerpoint sound system, engineered specially for the Prelude’s return, with eight speakers and a subwoofer delivering a premier listening experience. With its blend of futuristic style, technology, and performance, the Honda Prelude is poised to captivate a new generation of drivers.
