The holidays are right around the corner. As exciting as these next couple of months can be, they’re equally as busy. Everyone’s holiday plans may look a little different, but the common denominator is how much we rely on our vehicles. From shopping trips and extra grocery runs to visiting family and friends, our cars work overtime this time of year.

That’s when interior space, comfort, and versatility matter more than ever. Whether you’re loading up gifts, transporting the Thanksgiving feast, or packing up the family for a road trip, the right vehicle keeps you going through the holiday hustle and bustle.

Check out these spacious options built to handle whatever comes their way this holiday season.

Kia Telluride
First introduced in 2020, the Kia Telluride has quickly become a fan favorite in the midsize SUV market. A big reason for its popularity is its spacious, upscale interior that compares favorably to luxury SUVs.

Measuring over 196 inches in total length, the Telluride has plenty of space for passengers and cargo throughout the cabin.

  • Seating: seven or eight passengers
  • Cargo volume behind third row: 21 cubic feet
  • Cargo volume behind second row: 46 cubic feet
  • Cargo volume behind first row: 87 cubic feet

A hidden storage compartment beneath the rear cargo floor reveals additional storage, especially convenient for smaller or more valuable items. The Telluride also features a reclining 60/40 split-fold third row, allowing for easy adjustment based on the number of passengers and amount of cargo.

Seating capacity depends on the choice of a second-row bench seat (eight) or captain’s chairs (seven). If you opt for the captain’s chairs, consider adding heating and ventilating functions for a first-class touch. No matter which setup you prefer, second-row passengers will enjoy a class-leading 42.4 inches of legroom.

Those planning long holiday drives with young passengers are sure to appreciate the Telluride’s Quiet Zone Interior. When activated, this feature mutes the rear speakers and limits front-speaker volume, granting full control of peace and quiet behind the wheel.

Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The Jeep Grand Wagoneer made its nostalgic return in 2021. Just like its 1980s predecessor, this full-size SUV prioritizes comfort, luxury, and functionality throughout its interior cabin.

The Grand Wagoneer comes in two wheelbase versions, the standard Grand Wagoneer and extended-length Grand Wagoneer L. Both are available in seven or eight-passenger configurations and share the same high-end materials, advanced technology, and class-leading space.

Jeep Grand Wagoneer Dimensions:

  • Exterior Length: 214.7 inches
  • Cargo Volume (max/behind second/third row): 94.2/70.9/27.4 cubic feet
  • Legroom (first/second/third row): 40.9/42.7/36.6 inches
  • Hip Room (first/second/third row): 63.4/63/51.6 inches
  • Shoulder Room (first/second/third row): 66.1/65.2/64.4 inches

For those needing more room for their holiday gear, the Grand Wagoneer L stretches to 226.7 inches in length. Without sacrificing the Grand Wagoneer’s leading passenger dimensions, this extra stretch expands cargo space behind all three rows for a total max cargo capacity of 130.9 cubic feet.

Spacious and refined throughout, both the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L make it easy to bring everything and everyone along for this year’s holiday adventures.

GMC Yukon
The GMC Yukon is another full-size SUV with an available extended-wheelbase model, the aptly named Yukon XL. They both accommodate up to eight passengers, but they differ in overall size and hauling abilities.

While both options are plenty spacious, it’s the available amenities and thoughtful details that truly define the Yukon’s interior comfort.

The AT4 Ultimate and Denali Ultimate trims include 16-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, cooling, and massaging functions, along with an 18-speaker Bose sound system. Luxurious comfort extends throughout the Yukon Denali Ultimate thanks to available second-row executive seating featuring heated, ventilated, and massaging captain’s chairs, additional Bose speakers built into the headrest, and a 12.6-inch dual-screen rear entertainment system.

RAM 1500
It’s no surprise that a truck made this list. After all, they’re designed to carry plenty of gear completely separate from passenger space. But with a class-leading 44.8 inches of rear legroom, the RAM 1500 stands out as one of the most spacious and comfortable full-size trucks on the road.

The RAM 1500 is available in two bed lengths, a 5-foot-7-inch option offering 53.9 cubic feet of cargo volume and a 6-foot-4-inch option offering 61.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. Each bed is available with a Multifunction Tailgate featuring split swing-away doors that open wide for easy access when loading or unloading.

Storage isn’t limited to the bed, however. The RAM 1500 also offers class-exclusive in-floor storage consoles, and the available RamBox® Cargo Management System includes a lockable, weatherproof storage compartment on both sides of the truck’s exterior.

When you enter the RAM 1500, you might forget that you’re in a pickup truck at all. Several amenities, such as heated and ventilated seats, come standard on most models. The luxury only grows as you move up in trim level. Think massaging seats, quilted leather materials, wood-wrapped surfaces, and class-exclusive reclining rear seats.

Inside and out, the RAM 1500 proves that rugged capability and refined comfort can go hand in hand.

Volkswagen Tiguan
Trucks and full-size SUVs are the obvious leaders in passenger and cargo space, but for some, such a large vehicle isn’t necessary or practical. The good news is that smaller SUVs like the Volkswagen Tiguan optimize space and comfort in a more manageable package.

The third generation of this compact SUV debuted in 2025. The most notable design change was the removal of a third-row seating option. This lowered the Tiguan’s max seating capacity from seven to five but, in exchange, opened up much more usable cargo space.

  • Max Cargo Volume: 69.8 cubic feet
  • Cargo Volume behind second row: 33.8 cubic feet

Volkswagen optimized space inside the Tiguan by removing its third-row option, but they didn’t stop there. A 60/40 split-fold second row allows for flexible configurations that accommodate both passengers and cargo, while height-adjustable smart floor storage can sit level with the rear seats or lower to increase total cargo volume.

For its size, the Volkswagen Tiguan’s cargo dimensions and storage solutions are seriously impressive.

Honda Civic Hatchback
You may be wondering what the Honda Civic is doing on a list of spacious vehicles. It’s a fair question, but just because you prefer the size and style of a sedan doesn’t mean you’re completely void of space. The hatchback version of the Honda Civic is proof.

In terms of look, feel, and driving experience, there’s not much difference between the Civic Hatchback and the regular sedan. The key distinction, and the secret to the Civic Hatchback’s cargo advantage, is its rear tailgate design. This low, wide opening not only makes loading and unloading easier but also creates nearly 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, a full 10-foot increase over the Civic sedan’s 15-foot trunk.

You have all your gear loaded up, but what about the passengers? Front/rear legroom in the Civic Hatchback is a respectable 42.7/37.4 inches, so you’ll have plenty of room to bring whoever and whatever along for the ride this holiday season.

The Honda Civic’s impressive fuel efficiency never hurts either: 34 combined mpg in the Sport model and 40 combined mpg in the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.
