When shopping for a vehicle, you have a vast ocean of possibilities ahead of you, which can be a bit overwhelming when you start your journey. Even if you narrow things down to a particular class, like compact SUVs, you still have a huge number of makes and models to choose from. Everything becomes a lot easier if you choose a car dealer near Roswell that has friendly people ready to help you find the perfect model—and this is precisely what you'll find with the Hendrick Automotive Group.

To get you started, let's take a look at six of our favorite compact SUVs of 2025, which you can find at our dealerships right now. These stunning vehicles are incredibly fun to drive and come from a variety of brands, so you can find anything you're looking for. (We're presenting this selection in alphabetical order by manufacturer, just to keep things simple.)

Chevy Equinox

Kicking things off, we have the Chevy Equinox. This is a great choice for a number of reasons, particularly since it keeps things simple while still giving you plenty of excellent features to enjoy. It has a single engine option that generates 175 hp, which makes it fun to drive without going overboard; you can choose between front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), which lets you get the kind of ride you prefer.

Fuel efficiency is quite good with the Equinox: an estimated 26 MPG in the city, 28 MPG on the highway, and 27 MPG combined when you go with a FWD model. You get almost 30 cu.ft. of rear cargo space in this SUV, with more than 63 cu.ft. of total cargo space, plus there's a standard 11.3-inch infotainment display inside. Overall, this is a great choice at an accessible price. If you like its performance and design but want more refined features inside, then check out the similar GMC Terrain.

Honda CR-V

Next up, we have the Honda CR-V, which is one of our favorite choices if you want impressive performance and fuel efficiency. The standard 1.5L turbocharged engine for the CR-V is great, with 190 hp and both FWD and AWD available. If you're looking for some of the best gas mileage available, then there's a 204-hp hybrid engine available that gets an estimated 43 MPG in the city, 36 MPG on the highway, and 40 MPG of combined fuel efficiency.

Only one other option we'll look at today can top that, so this is an amazing choice for getting around Roswell while making fewer stops for gas. You get almost 40 cu.ft. of cargo space in the rear of the CR-V, with more than 76 cu.ft. of total cargo room inside, making this the most spacious option on this list. The standard seven-inch touchscreen display isn't quite as impressive as what Chevy and GMC offer, but the available nine-inch screen helps atone for that.

Kia Sportage

The Kia Sportage is an amazing choice for a wide range of drivers and has many incredible features and options. To start with, there's a standard 187-hp engine with good performance and gas mileage. An available hybrid engine provides an estimated 42 MPG in the city, 44 MPG on the highway, and 43 MPG of combined fuel efficiency—the best figures you'll see on this list.

Going a step further, there's even a plug-in hybrid version available that gets up to 34 miles of all-electric range from a full charge, letting you make quick trips around Roswell without using any gas. Gas-powered Sportages are nearly as spacious inside as the CR-V, with almost 40 cu.ft. of rear cargo space and more than 74 cu.ft. of total cargo room. And while the standard eight-inch infotainment display is only okay, the available 12.3-inch screen is a terrific feature.

Mazda CX-50

If you're looking for a compact SUV with incredible power and performance, then you need to check out the 2025 Mazda CX-50. Every model comes standard with AWD, and the starting engine is a 2.5L I-4 that makes 187 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque, which is great but not mind-blowing. If you go with the available turbocharged engine, however, then you get 256 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque, which is stunning performance for a compact SUV, sure to provide an amazing experience every time you hit the road.

With an estimated 25 MPG in the city, 31 MPG on the highway, and 28 MPG of combined fuel efficiency, the standard engine is the way to go if you're worried about gas mileage. You get more than 31 cu.ft. of rear cargo space inside the CX-50, with just over 56 cu.ft. total; this isn't the best option for cargo space, but it's still quite spacious. A 10.25-inch infotainment display is standard in the CX-50, helping this vehicle be a joy to drive, with excellent features inside and out.

Subaru Forester

Although it can't reach the same level of power as the Mazda CX-50, the Subaru Forester is a great pick if you're looking for a compact SUV with impressive off-road potential. You get a standard 2.5L Boxer-4 engine that gives you 180 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque; a hybrid version boosts performance up to 194 hp. Every Forester comes with Subaru's impressive AWD system—and even with AWD, the available hybrid engine gets an estimated 34 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway, making it perfect for getting around Roswell or heading to your favorite campsite.

If you want a compact SUV for your next outdoor adventure, check out the Forester's stunning Wilderness trim, with its enhanced ground clearance and Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires. With nearly 30 cu.ft. of rear cargo volume and more than 74 cu.ft. of total cargo room inside, you also get plenty of space for all of your camping gear.

Toyota RAV4

Finally, we have one of the most popular SUVs on the market: the Toyota RAV4. This is definitely a "last but not least" situation, as the RAV4 comes with an impressive 2.5L engine that provides 203 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, making it arguably the best standard engine we've looked at today. This standard engine gets an estimated 27 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway, so it's quite efficient, too.

A hybrid engine is available that boosts performance to 219 hp, with an estimated 41 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway, making it one of the best options on the market if you prioritize fuel economy. There's even a plug-in hybrid version available with up to 42 miles of all-electric driving range to take things to the next level. With almost 38 cu.ft. of rear cargo space and nearly 70 cu.ft. of total cargo volume, you get a compact SUV that certainly never feels small.
