Moonroof

Often mistaken for the old-school sunroof, most modern-day vehicles have a moonroof, or tinted glass integrated into the roof that covers the driver and passenger. Other manufacturers have created panoroof versions that span the entire roof of the vehicle, with an ability slide open and invite natural sunlight into the entire cabin. Traditional sunroofs are a ‘modified’ body panel that tilt or slide open.

Quite a few SUVs and EVs have full moonroofs, which take up the entire top of the vehicle. Passengers receive a view of the sky, creating a more open feeling for those throughout the inside of the vehicle. During the fall, you can capture the changing trees, beautiful sunsets, or incredible nightscapes that nature offers.

Heated Seats

As we move toward the colder months, the comfort of having heated seats is particularly nice. There is nothing like having that warmth wrap your body against the cold of the outdoors, not to mention the potential benefits of relief from aches and pains.

For most manufacturers, heated seats also have different temperature settings based on personal tastes in the moment. It is also personalized based on passengers.

At the end of your time with the vehicle, heated seats are a great selling point for the next buyer, raising the overall resale value.

Convertible Wind Screens

If you enjoy the convertible lifestyle, a wind deflector is an almost must-have option. Traditionally located right behind the driver and passenger, a wind deflector helps keep the flow of wind from inundating the cockpit, allowing for conversation or better radio listening and can improve fuel mileage. A wind deflector can reduce wind noise by up to 75 percent.

A deflector also allows owners to stretch convertible season, as the movement of air is reduced from flowing over the cockpit, improving the efficiency of your vehicle’s heater.

SiriusXM Satellite Radio

It seems like a standard feature nowadays, but SiriusXM Satellite Radio is almost a must-have option for every contemporary driver. With more than 400 channels of ad-free music, news, weather, traffic and sports at your fingertips, you can listen to your favorite entertainment from anywhere in the country.

While a subscription service, there are different levels of content choice and you can follow your favorite college and NFL teams during the fall. Not to mention Major League Baseball’s Playoffs and World Series, as well as the dramatic conclusion to the PGA Professional Golf Tour and the NASCAR Cup Series season with HendrickCars.com driver, Kyle Larson.

Adjustable Tailgates

Tailgate development has been one of most notable evolutions in the pickup truck marketplace. True to form, it is a versatile innovation for those who enjoy ‘tailgating’ at sporting events or need an additional lift for weekend projects.

Chevrolet’s ‘Multi-Flex’ and GMC’s ‘MultiPro’ have a lot of unique options, including multiple functions in one, where smaller panels fold down for use in different tasks, or as steps to walk into the bed. You can also construct the tailgate to use as a flat work surface. Operation is easy, as you have two button controls, one of which is inside the cab for easy access.

At Dodge, their trucks have a multifunction tailgate that opens like a door. Split 69/40, the tailgate opens in every direction allowing for easy access even if there’s a best cover in place. It also has a piece that drops down to act like a step into the bed, not to mention its traditional functionality with a remote operations option.

Bi-Directional Charging

One of the cool innovations that’s come out of the EV evolution is bi-directional charging. Owners can charge outside gadgets at tailgates and activities if offered on models such as KIA’s EV6, EV9, Niro, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe, and General Motors EVs.

They are also useful for your house, as some of these bi-directional products can operate your HVAC system or refrigerators for a certain amount of time during power disruption.

No matter, what season it is, customers can invest in the amenities that best suit their driving style.
