Standard comfort equipment on the vehicle includes front fog lamps, alarm, remote-controlled central locking, keyless ignition, electric window controls, electrically adjustable, heated exterior mirrors and a rain sensor with automatic headlight control. The X1 also has Dynamic Cruise Control, which uses sensors to automatically judge distance between vehicles.

The BMW iDrive operating system accessible via its high-definition standard 6.5-inch touchscreen, or 8.8-inch screen, which came optional. The standard audio system comes with seven speakers, while the traditional Harman Kardon option offers passengers 12 speakers and 360 watts of output.

On the safety side, the X1’s Driver Assistance Plus package includes safety features such as lane-departure warning, speed limit information, automatic high beams, front collision warning, pedestrian warning and city collision mitigation. Parking assistance is also available, making it easier for a driver to find and utilize parallel spaces, and its real-time traffic information will help navigate high-traffic areas.
