Spotlighting the cost-efficient and practical Kia Soul

Cost-efficient and practical, the KIA Soul is an attractive option for those looking for Hendrick Affordable options as we begin 2024. While many were introduced to the Kia Soul via Hamsters in 2010, its driving maneuverability and affordable price had long been a favorite of drivers worldwide.
Debuted in 2008 and winner of 16 awards for design, the Soul has been one of the more popular utility vehicles available, having sold more than a million copies over its current production run. A true standout, this boxy delight first took shape at KIA’s Design Center in Irvine, California and unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, where lead designer Mike Torpey added uniqueness to the brand’s emerging North American lineup of vehicles. Its design and quirkiness received praise from many and quickly became an automotive icon.
The KIA Soul has become the brand’s flagship entry. KIA’s executive director of Car Planning & Telemetrics talked about the equity already built back in 2020, “The Soul has been a massive success since its introduction to the U.S. market, blowing its (now defunct) rivals out of the water and establishing itself as an automotive icon with its fun-loving character and eccentric style. Even with an entirely new generation of competitors now crowding the marketplace, we are confident the all-new Soul will once again prove to be a tough contender given its unparalleled style and impressive level of invigorating technology and customization options.”

An Electrified Version
In 2015, KIA dove into the electric age with the introduction of its KIA Soul EV. Operating with an estimated premiere range of 105 combined (city/highway) charging miles, this new ride was perfect for the daily metro commute.

By 2019, the Soul EV had expanded its combined range to 108 miles, with it’s synchronous permanent magnet motor producing 109 horsepower at 210 foot pounds of torque. While the EV option is no longer offered, you can still purchase pre-owned versions that are easier on the pocketbook than some of the current offerings.
Like its ICE brethren, the Soul EV has most of the same amenities, comfort and drivability that makes the Soul – the Soul.
