With Hendrick Automotive Group chairman and CEO Rick Hendrick and Hendrick Motorsports vice chairman Jeff Gordon on hand, the anniversary edition package was unveiled during one of the many pre-Daytona 500 celebrations at Daytona International Speedway during race week. The reveal also kicked off Hendrick Motorsports’ 40th season of NASCAR competition, which first began in 1984.
These special Chevrolets, prepared by Hendrick Motorsports, feature a radiant ruby red tintcoat color, custom graphics package, 40th anniversary branding and a unique owner’s kit with an invitation for a behind-the-scenes tour of the team’s facilities in Concord, North Carolina, just outside Charlotte. ONLY 40 of these future collectables will be produced.

Included in the 40th celebration, it was revealed that every Hendrick Motorsports Cup Series entry will carry a special ruby red paint scheme at Martinsville Speedway Sunday, April 7. This race marks the 40th anniversary of Hendrick Motorsports’ first win, and ruby is the traditional 40th anniversary gift.
