Chevrolet Equinox
One of the best-selling small SUVs, the Chevrolet Equinox is a versatile option for budget-minded families who need room to maneuver throughout their daily lives. First introduced in 2004 for the 2005 model year, the vehicle has evolved into a benchmark for entry level SUVs.
The newest Equinox comes in three trims, base LS, mid-range LT and top-of-the-line RS. A six-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and 17-inch wheels are standard, while 19-inch wheels are available as an option with the LT and RS. Toyota Highlander
The world’s No. 1 retail mid-size SUV remained so in 2023; with its roomy interior, robust powerplant and comfort amenities, the Highlander has long been a family favorite.
Leading the way is the Highlander’s new, higher-torque, more efficient 265 horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine. Delivering 309-foot pounds of torque, its 17% more efficient than previous versions while still increasing the power delivered to the road. Fuel efficiency remains at an estimated 24 MPG combined.

The new Highlander is also equipped to tow up to 5,000 pounds, utilizing its Vehicle Stability Control and Trailer Sway Control to keep the drive smooth and steady. Add in an optional AWD system with drive select mode, which actively manages torque distribution between the front and rear wheels where most needed.
For those looking for additional fuel efficiency, the 2023 Highlander Hybrid combines the four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. The entire system offers 243 combined horsepower, 36 MPG and a towing capacity 0f up to 3,500 pounds.
There is also an abundance of cargo space in the Highlander, with 84.3 cubic feet of capacity available when both second and third row seating fold completely. Standard three-zone climate control offers choice in comfort settings for passengers throughout, while comfortable Captain’s chairs available on the second row.
New tech features are now also standard, highlighted by an optional 12.3-inch touch screen in the XLE and XSE model variations. An 8-inch screen comes standard with all Highlanders. Wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto support and SiriusXM Platinum (3-month trial subscription) also provide entertainment options. In addition, the SUVs new integrated streaming feature allows passengers to link their Apple Music and Amazon playlists for onboard control.

BMW X5 sDrive40 and xDrive40i
