  • READ THIS IF YOU USE THIRD SEAT AND CARGO OFTEN

    I bought a brand new 2018 Yukon XL SLT with upgrades, including 22 inch wheels. I love the exterior and the chrome and the wheels. The interior is nice leather and the entertainment and safety features are awesome. We previously owned a Ford Expedition EL and drove it over 180,000 miles. Here are the 3 major issues we have with this GMC SUV: (we fill the car up with kids often and also use the cargo area behind the second row often) 1.) The third row middle seat belt is absurd and a huge hassle! It pulls from the top and has two buckles attached. Kids have to buckle TWO buckles to be correctly secure in the middle third row seat. 2.) You CANNOT put down the third row seats without taking a KEY and unlocking the middle back seat belt!!!! What in the world was the engineer thinking??? Imagine being at the store and needing to quickly put down the third row seat to store your items- then having to CRAWL INTO THE CAR AND USE A KEY TO UNLOCK THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT- then going back to the trunk and putting the seats down! This is real and it is absurd and a horrible design. It is also difficult to put down the third row headrests, which HAVE TO BE DOWN to put down the third row seats! It is an absolute hassle!! 3.) The back window glass does open on its own without having the open the entire trunk. However, unless you are 5 foot, 8 inches or taller, it is useless. Please consider these hassles if you often use the third row seat, but also need to fold down that seat often for shopping, cargo, etc.

    Poor Vehicle from GM. Excessive repairs within 3 years.. Calipers at 50,000 miles, 2 repairs on air condition ($2500) at 60,000+ miles. Antenna for navigations system replaced at 42,000 miles More stuff wore out prematurely
  • Much smoother ride than our 2015 Denali

    I am biased. This is our 5th Denali. Great vehicles for families that also need storage. We have put over 100K miles on each of the vehicles with relatively no issues. The first we had rode like a truck. The 2018 rides as smooth as most cars. I would highly recommend it
