Prelude to the Dream

Dirt Late Model Race Rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at Eldora Speedway

Persistent rain forced officials at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, to postpone the fifth annual Prelude to the Dream race originally scheduled for June 3rd until September 9, 2009. The all-star dirt late model race will feature 11 NASCAR Sprint series drivers including Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. Hendrickcars.com is the sponsor of Jimmie Johnson’s #48 dirt track car for the race. Included in the field of drivers will be drivers from the Nationwide, IROC, Indy, and other race series. Hendrickcars.com is proud to sponsor Jimmie Johnson in this benefit dirt-track race. Especially since the race was designed to benefit four military oriented charities: Wounded Warrior Project, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Operation Homefront, and Fisher House. Eldora Speedway is a half-mile dirt racing facility located in western Ohio. The ‘Big E’ is owned by 2005 NASCAR Champion, Tony Stewart.
